BRANDING + ART DIRECTION

AceBounce is a Chicago ping-pong bar and sister bar to Bounce (London). The venue is inspired by the British underground and the second brand I worked on as the Senior Art Director for State of Play hospitality. I started working on the AceBounce brand in the winter of 2019. Within the first 60 days I had completely redesigned the brand style guide with a fresh new look as well as more defined guidelines. Today I continue to develop the brand and help to create new experiences that excite and delight our guests.

WEBSITE REDESIGN

Shortly following the brand refresh of AceBounce I was tasked with redesigning the venue’s website. The original design was busy and included several unnecessary and confusing animations, links, and an over use of competing color.

In redesigning the website I instated a more high-contrast look with pop’s of the brand’s signature neon pink. I wanted to use large photographic banners and text in a way that wasn’t distracting but still showed an accurate representation of the venue’s personality and guest experience.

The desktop and mobile designs were mocked up in Photoshop/Figma and then handed off to a local web development agency. The site was built on the WordPress platform.
